  1. Breathe in.
    Pour hot water over all elements that will touch your coffee — the funnel, filter, and carafe — to preheat them.

  2. Prepare the grounds.
    Place the filter and rinse it with hot water.
    Add 15 g of coffee grounds to the funnel.

  3. The first pour.
    Slowly pour 225 ml of hot water (~90 °C, 15 g × 15) directly over the coffee.
    Stir gently and let it bloom.

  4. Press with presence.
    After about 5 minutes, press the concentrate into your cup with calm attention.

  5. The Bypass.
    Add 40 ml of hot water (80–85 °C — hotter will make it bitter)
    to soften the strength and give the flavors space to open.

  6. Adjust to taste.
    Repeat the bypass with another 20 ml if you prefer a lighter balance.

  7. Sip. Slowly.
    Let the warmth awaken your senses.
