Let’s be honest — I’ve visited more cafés than I can count.
And far too often, the ones featured on all the “best of” lists… left me underwhelmed.

Nice design. Good photos. But missing something essential: soul.

Then, unexpectedly, I’d stumble upon small cafés full of warmth, presence, and love —
places that didn’t just serve coffee, but served feeling.

This award is for them:
The underdogs. The hidden gems.
The cafés where someone truly cares — about the bean, the ritual, and you.

SM Specialty Coffee Shop — their Rwanda Natural blew my mind,
and the space and service are absolutely top-level!
